Centerprise Integration Studio - Installation Guide
Quick Details
1. Download Centerprise Integration Studio 2.0 from
here
2. Install the application.
3. Use the Repository Installer to create a repository.
4. Launch the application from the Start Menu by selecting Start>All Programs> Centerprise Integration Studio Edition> Centerprise Integration Studio.
5. From the Login screen, connect to the repository you created in Step 3.
6. Log in using the login/password combination admin/admin
Overview
Centerprise Integration Studio provides a high performance data integration environment for data transformation, data synchronization, and data export. Key features:

Instructions
Install Application
First, download Centerprise Integration Studio by running the installer directly from the website < > or saving the executable file to your local machine.
To install Centerprise Integration Studio, follow these steps:
7. Double-click on the Centerprise Integration Studio executable icon. The Centerprise Integration Studio Edition - Install Wizard window will open.
8. Click ‘Next'. Read the Astera Software license terms carefully and then click on the radio button for "I accept the terms in the license agreement."
9. Click ‘Next'. The default location for the application is C:\Program Files\Astera Software\ Centerprise Integration Studio Manager. To change this location, click on the Change button and select the appropriate file location.
10. Click ‘Next' and ‘Install' if you are ready to install the application.
11. Once the installation is complete, check the box for "Launch Centerprise Integration Studio Edition" and click ‘Finish' to launch the application.
Note: If this is the first time you are launching the application, you need to create a repository to proceed. Otherwise, you can use an existing repository or modify a saved repository to start your data integration jobs.
You can also access the application from the Start menu by selecting Start>All Programs> Centerprise Integration Studio Edition> Centerprise Integration Studio Edition.
Before you access the application, you need to install a repository. Refer to the instructions in Repository Creation for more information.
Repository Creation
You need to create a repository when you install Centerprise Integration Studio for the first time.
Steps to create a new repository:
12. Click the
Start button, and point to
All Programs. Point to
Centerprise Integration Studio, and then click
Application Repository Installer. The Centerprise Repository Installer dialog box opens.
13. Click
Set up empty application repository, if not selected by default.
14. Click
Next. You are taken to the
Select Data Source tab.
15. Type the User Id/Password to access the database.
Note: If you do not require a User Id/Password to access a specific database, select the Use Windows Authentication check box.
16. Type the
Server name.
17. Type a unique name for your database. A new database will be created and used as your repository.
18. Click
Next. You are taken to the
Review tab.
19. Click
Finish.
You have successfully created your database. Now you are ready to launch the application.
Modifying a saved repository
Steps to modify a saved repository:
20. Select
"Edit..." from the Repository dropdown list.
21. Select the repository you want to modify and click
Edit.
22. Modify the necessary information.
23. Follow the steps for SQL Server/Microsoft Access listed above to log into the application.
Deleting a saved repository
Steps to delete a saved repository:
24. Select
"Edit..." from the Repository dropdown list.
25. Select the repository you want to modify and click
Remove.
26. Click
Close.
Log in
Steps to launch the application:
27. Click the
Start button, and point to
All Programs. Point to
Centerprise Integration Studio, and select
Studio. The Centerprise login dialog box opens.
28. Select
"Edit..." from the
Repository list. The Repository dialog box is displayed.
29. Click
Add.
30. Type a unique name for your repository.
31. Select a provider from the Data Provider list. Your options are:
• SQL Server - Steps to select SQL Server as your data provider:
5a. Type the User Id/Password assigned to you. If you do not require a User Id/Password to access a specific database, select the Use Windows Authentication check box.
Note: This User Id/Password combination is different from the one you use to log into the application.
5b. Type the SQL Server name
5c. Select the database created earlier from the Database list. This list will be populated with the databases assigned to the User Id/Password combination and Server name.
5d. Click Test Connection to check that your database connection is working properly. The message "Test Completed Successfully" is displayed. In case of error, contact your data administrator.
5e. Click Save & Close. The login dialog box is displayed.
OR
• Microsoft Access - Steps to select Microsoft Access as your data provider:
5a. Click the "..." next to File name, and browse to your Access database using the file dialog box.
5b. If prompted, type a password to access the database.
Note: If you selected Use Windows Authentication, you will not be prompted for the password.
Select Workgroup if other individuals in your organization have shared permissions to the Microsoft Access database, or Exclusive if only you have the permissions to access the database.
5c. Click Test Connection to check that your database connection is working properly. The message "Test Completed Successfully" is displayed. In case of error, contact your data administrator.
5d. Click Save & Close. You will return to the login screen.
32. Select your repository from the Repository list.
33. Enter your
User Id and
Password for the application; i.e., admin/admin.
Note: You can change your password from this screen by clicking Change Password. You will be prompted to provide your User Id, Old Password, New Password and Confirm New Password. Once you are satisfied with your new password, click Save. To return to the previous screen without changing your password, click Cancel.
34. Click Login.
The Centerprise Integration Studio window is displayed. You have successfully accessed the application.
Uninstall
To uninstall Astera Centerprise Integration Studio Edition, go to Start>All Programs> Centerprise Integration Studio Edition >Uninstall Centerprise Integration Studio Edition.
Note: Uninstall will not delete the repository. You will need to manually delete the database you created using the repository connection form.
