Workflow for the Exchange of an EDI 125 Multilevel Railcar Load Details Document
An EDI 125 transaction set is exchanged between vehicle manufacturers, rail carriers, and loading/unloading contractors. Data related to the loaded railcar and its contents are forwarded to the destination rail carrier or haul away carrier or both upon departure. It is also used by destination rail carrier and unloading contractor for reporting the arrival of the railcar at the destination rail ramp to the vehicle manufacturer.
